Sani Valley Nature lodges have been designed with luxury for full or semi-catered Drakensberg accommodation. The concept gives you a private and highly personal experience with unobtrusive lodge services. You are left to relax in your exclusive private home which is serviced daily. The clubhouse offers a great central dinning facility and bar area, with fishing, boats and on the lake safety equipment available on request.

The five lodges are all situated on the lake and offer a spacious layout with an open plan configuration including a fully equipped kitchen. Each one has a different setup which is detailed in the lodge description below, so find the layout most suitable for you depending on the size of your family or group. Sunset Lodges consists of 3 beautifully decorated semi-detached one-bedroom units. Each en-suite unit has magnificent lake and Drakensberg mountain views from lounge, bedroom and private deck. There are two accommodation units downstairs and one unit upstairs. We do not allow babies or young children in these units due to the units being semi-detached.

Ideal for couples and groups.

The sunsets here are amazing in the Drakensberg, with game wandering around your deck from early morning to late at night and the sounds of frogs in chorus singing out from the lake at night, accompanied by crickets and owls on occasion.

Lakeside Lodges at Sani Valley offer exquisitely decorated, double story stand-alone accommodation units. You will have magnificent lake and Southern Drakensberg mountain views from the living area, bedroom and bathroom. Each Lakeside lodge ideally sleeps 2 people but does have a small area behind the main bedroom with a double stack bed suitable for 2 (typically for children). Each unit boasts a private jacuzzi overlooking the lake which provides a real luxury feel and brings the outside in.

Early Mist Lodges are some of our most recent lodges built on the waters edge with beautiful views of the Southern Drakensberg. Each lodge includes one main bedroom and one second bedroom with two single beds, an open-plan kitchen, lounge area and a private veranda with jacuzzi overlooking over the lake.

Sani Valley Club House

The Sani Valley Club House is the hub on the lake for all to enjoy.

The Sani Valley Club House is right on the water, that boasts a large function area and upstairs bar. This is where groups can congregate for meals, or simply hang out near the fire pit.

Breakfast is served daily at the Clubhouse for our catered guests. Breakfast on the waters’ edge overlooking the mountains is a great way to start your day.

It offers a large downstairs dining area with glass sliding doors linking a protected front veranda. The Club house can comfortably seat 60 people for dinner parties, mini conferences, company parties or milestone celebrations like birthdays, wedding parties or even reunions of friends, classmates or work colleagues.

We have a small well-equipped kitchen and catering for all on-site cuisine is carried out from the clubhouse kitchen.

The upstairs bar area offers a great bar facility, large TV to watch your favourite sporting event, comfortable couches, great fishing memorabilia and a decked veranda, with wonderful views onto the Drakensberg mountains and down the Sani Valley across the lake. The bar is not stocked permanently but can be on request.

Sani Valley motorized boats are parked securely in the boat house directly on the water. For all boat and fishing rod hire, please enquire at reception for bookings.
